Bloody Mary and Christmas lights

Earlier this week I went to my parents house for a few days.
Tuesday night my dad and I had a few drinks at the local restaurant/bar
and then had mom drive my land yacht around town to look at lights.
Between the stopping and going I did get a few pics. These two neighbors were having a light war..
I don't think anyone else on the street had a single light out.. This Santa was catching fish in the light pond. This is a covered bridge at the town park. Most of my pics look like this. My mom the lead foot.

We had fun.

Brandy Snifter for the whole neighborhood

Mom my gave me an early Christmas Gift.
It's a large, VERY LaRGE Brandy Snifter.. We guess it would hold about 3 gallons..
I just love it..
I really can't wait til after Christmas when I can move it around from room to room.
I might put it on my tub and lights some candles for a relaxing bath.
I couldn't wait to get it home..
I stuck some berry garland and a string of lights
in it and placed on the wardrobe in our kitchen.
I also put a MOM MADE bow around the base.
I told mom that I could put it on the coffee table and get long tubing and
we could ALL sit on the couch and drink from it..
It's HUGE!!!!!Here's how huge... I placed a Coke can next to it just to show it's size.
Look at that baby....
Now ...not to break it... Let's see it I have it next year.

Flowes and bows

My mom the master bow maker is at it again. She has been making grave stone flowers for my cousin's monument business. They have a big booth at a trader's market.

Way to go mom...your artistic ability is shining through.

The Bow

My mom is the
number one I mean the #1 bow maker in the land..

I don't know it that's true but I will believe that until over wise proved wrong.
My mom has made my bows for years and not only mine but others too.
My mom will wake up to find a bag of ribbon on her porch from one of the many girls in town that request her bow making ability. She probably makes a 4oo bows a year. So Sunday night she tried to pass down her bow making knowledge to the oldest.
Can I make bows you ask.. well sometimes, do they come out like this..?..?!.ahhhh NO!!!My mom actually didn't make this one.. could she..YES, would she... YES but we bought it and then she fluffed it and added the extra strands. We are putting this on our tree this year.

If I could actually take pictures and explain in simple terms how to make a bow I would.. but I don't think it will come across right SO,,, I will just have to keep her to myself and I will have gorgeous bows.

Murder Myster Dinner

Murder by the Sea: The Dark Veil Mystery

Last weekend was my birthday so we decided to go to a Murder Mystery Dinner in Louisville. We took my mom and dad with us and they had a really good time. My dad has always read and watched murder mysteries so this was right up his alley. This was some of the characters. The guy on the floor was supposed to be a bum that lived on the property. He crawled around screaming and hissing. He didn't say a word and would just look at you and run off. He crawled over people and under tables and was very odd. I told him in the end that I wouldn't have been able to keep a straight face and he said it's hard. I guess that's why he's an actor and not me.

My pictures are all blurry cause I didn't want to turn on the flash and blind everyone. but ya get the point. It was fun. If you ever have the chance to see one go for it. Here is the link. You can find them all over the country. Murder Mystery Dinner
